Part 10 – Living with Purpose

Colossians 4:2-6

What is your purpose in life?

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:2-6

What is your faith story?

Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:4:5

How can we make an impression and leave a mark for Jesus Christ with people who may not yet believe?

1. Pray like your life !

Devote yourselves to prayer, Colossians 4:2a

Talk to God about before we talk to people about .

16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Luke 5:16.

14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, Acts 1:14a

12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12.

2. Pray with !

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful… Colossians 4:2b

Praying with purpose is not being , but being very .

3. Pray with !

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

How can I make an impression and leave a mark for Jesus Christ?

3. Pray with gratitude!

4. Pray that God will open doors for me to share the gospel!

  • Watch the way I act!
  • Take advantage every opportunity.
  • Make my conversations an inspiration and a blessing to others!
