Part 2 – Enoch – Walking with God!
Genesis 5:21-25; Hebrews 11:5-6
5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:5-6

What makes Enoch a hero of our faith, is not he lived, but rather he lived!

The term “walk” that is used in this passage expresses the idea of fellowship with God.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29
B. The essence of faith is placing my trust in the Lord for and !

Hebrews 11 offers us two characteristics of those, like Enoch, who possess authentic, true saving faith:
1) Belief in the ! 6 …for he who comes to God must believe that He is, Hebrews 11:6a (NKJV)
2) Belief in the God Who those who Him. 6 …he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6b
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
III. Enoch demonstrated a life that God!
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. Genesis 5:21-22
A. Enoch began to live a life that was an inspiring example for his .

Walking with God, not only includes joyously receiving His salvation and life direction, but also !
14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” Jude 1:14-15
