Part 4 – The Light of the World!

John 8-9

12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

14 …“I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14

The metaphor is one we see often in God’s Word.

5 …God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

Unbelievers are lost in . 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. John 12:46;

Believers have been called out of and into the ! 9 …that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

There are many in our time who think they are , but in reality, they are by darkness.

Jesus came to enlighten us, to dispel spiritual darkness, and to do so, He had to the darkness and the of the cross.
